Of The Forest
This project represents several ideas and concepts relating to my old childhood friend Nate's life, interests, and personality. He picked some elements with personal symbolism, and I combined them into a fantasy battle scene in a forest, representing both the beauty and chaos of life. Nate and I grew up together in the same suburban neighborhood, sharing adventures, angst, and getting into plenty of trouble. That personal connection made this piece very satisfying, as an homage of sorts to all the craziness of life we've experienced together and on our own. Additionally, you can see a portrait of Nate's Daughter Michaela in my 'canvas' section.
