Michele Wortman www.hyperspacestudios.com Michele Wortman began her career as a painter with tattoos who actively questioned the accepted ideas of what makes a good tattoo. In her experience, the tattoo industry in general did not incorporate a sensitive enough understanding of women's needs into the basic design philosophy that is taught and encouraged in our profession, leading to a decade-long exploration of feminine tattoo design that has gained attention across the globe. Much of her design sensibility is inspired by her photography, which fuses photorealism with a sense of abstract space. Some of her favorite photo pieces are featured in her book Moments Of Epiphany, a glossy hardcover exploration of this colorful abstract world. She shares a tattoo studio with her husband Guy Aitchison.
